The Meta Tag Generator:My first offering is a Meta Tag Generator I found at The JavaScript Source. Meta tags are used in an HTML document to tell a search engine what that document contains. In this instance, you type in a brief, descriptive sentence or two - then 10 "keywords" you think that people might type into a search engine to find your document (your web page or site). The generator takes that information and formats it into HTML and places it in a text box for you to highlight, copy, then paste into the <HEAD> section of your own HTML document. I think you'll find that it's much more difficult to think of the words than it is to learn the HTML code for Meta tags! |
