Order of Alhambra's Annual Picnic for the Developementally Disabled has been happening for over 17 years, according to Monty Tam (he brought the musicians together for this event, but is not a member of the organization).

Order of the Alhambra, Ben Ziri No. 218, is a Catholic fraternity in Oceanside that is dedicated to helping people who are developmentally disabled. For more information, please visit their web site at:

One of the great little secrets of Southern California nestled in the Guajome Regional Park near San Diego. This open 40 acre museum is a treat to visit.

The disabled come from a long list of group homes throughout San Diego's North County. The Order treats them to food, wagon rides, steam engine rides and occasionally, live, and often "interactive" music...as you may be able to tell from some of the photos.
